Yoga Month Tour Stops in Los Angeles

Lotus in HandAs part of its 10-day tour, Yoga Month Health Festival will be stopping over in Los Angeles the weekend of September 20-21. The two-day festival will take place at Loyola Marymount University, and will welcome an array of yoga teachers, enthusiasts, artists, vendors, and performers.

This year’s events will include the Yogi Times Party and Benefit Concert and the Global Mala Sacred Movement and Music. There will be over 100 exhibitors during the weekend’s festivities and everyone is invited to browse through displays ranging from yoga products, music, and organic foods to alternative “green” lifestyles. There will also be a Kids’ Yoga Zone to encourage children and their families to participate in yoga classes and learn more about maintaining a healthy and nutritious lifestyle.

The Yoga Month Health Festival’s goal is create “an entertaining and educational atmosphere for participants.” It also seeks to bring awareness of the need for an alternative solution to the nation’s current health care crisis.

According to Yoga Health Foundation founder Johannes Fisslinger, “The 2008 Yoga Month Health Festivals will offer holistic alternatives that work and do not cost a lot of money.”
