Exceptional Yoga Stories

dec31st.jpgWe at YogaHub wish to take a moment to offer Thanks and Appreciation to all of our YogaHub readers, and community for their insightful words, and generous support of our site. Also, an additional Thanks to the staff of writers, researchers, teachers and advisers of YogaHub for their dedication and good work throughout the year.

It has been an exciting opportunity to share with you our passion and commitment to providing the yoga community with inspirational resources and information that “revolve around you.” And we look forward to extending ourselves even further in order to be of value and support to your evolving yoga practice.

This year there were so many inspiring stories of personal accomplishment and triumph that we found exceptional. From the work of Y.O.G.A for Youth who are bringing yoga to incarcerated youth, to the commitment of yoga students and teachers working to make a difference at the Global Mala Project. Yoga Journal who highlighted the dedication of five yogis working for and within their communities in enlightened ways. There was also the account of yogis in Moscow who risked their freedom in order to practice yoga during a Communist regime. We could go on and on.

We know that there are hundreds more stories of uplifting acts of generosity and determination and we are grateful to these individuals for their tireless efforts.

Do you have a “yoga hero” in your life? A student who has won over personal obstacles? Or perhaps you have had the opportunity to help another succeed and in turn learned something about yourself. We would love to hear all about it.

Peace and Blessings for a Prosperous New Year!
