Your Yoga Journal
Keeping a journal is a common enough practice these days. Artists often use journals as a way to remember inspirations and reflect on what they are experiencing. Similarly, starting a yoga journal can help you record and notice how your daily life is changing because of your yoga practice.
Often while in a yoga posture or in meditation you might experience a memory or a physical sensation that you can’t quite process while in a yoga class. Your yoga journal can be the place for you to reflect on what you’ve experienced.
Yoga is not necessarily a form of therapy. It is a spiritual process that shares some common qualities with the therapeutic process but its purpose is different. In your yoga journal include words from spiritual teachings that guide you to consider the bigger picture that you are a part of!
