Positive Affects of Meditation on Concentration

Research Study Item: “Study confirms “Mind Training” Technique of Meditation Sharpens Concentration and Abilities to Discern Changes in Environment Quickly
Conclusion: Meditation techniques enhance the mind’s ability to notice quick changes in the environment such as reading changes in facial cues.
Details of Study:

A new study on the specific affects of meditation on concentration and attention to visual cues used the “Attention-Blink” test (two similar images are shown in rapid succession) to measure concentration levels.  17 participants went through a 3 month training in meditation techniques.  Their ability to see the second image was significant higher than before meditation training.
