A Healing Global Sound

Yoga teacher Shiva Rea, British pop star Sheila Chandra, the Agape International Choir and many others will join together at the Global Sound Conference in Los Angeles. From May 9-12th musicians, composers, Tibetan vocalists, along with professors and researchers will bring awareness and a “deeper understanding about the power of sound.”

A variety of workshops will be available from Yoga and Sound, Sound and Psychology, Chanting and Overtone Singing. Panels include the subject of Sound and Medicine, Green Media and Cutting Edge Sound Technology. Following each day of panels and workshops will be concerts that feature Sheila Chandra, Rickie Byars Beckwith and Yungchen Lhamo and Greg Ellis. In addition there will be film screenings and an afterhours lounge called Glow following the days activities.

Conference will take place at the Marina del Rey Marriott with pre and post conference workshops and a special event designed for Mother’s Day.
