Riding High
Can you imagine that the only time I am able to find a moment of peace from the phones and the hustle and bustle is on a plane to Kona, Hawaii?
It’s been so long since I have been able to write, and believe me when I say that I have missed my journalling.
I know so many don’t enjoy flying, but for me it is a time when I can actually take a moment for me. . .well, sort of. I do have a child so I should say that I am able to take a moment for us.
Since the Virtual World Yoga and Meditation conference in February, we have been shifting non stop. Very exciting shifts. I feel like I am moving with the energetic waves that have been whirling and tossing us around for the past months. Some parts of it have been very intense. I keep asking myself to be still inside. I keep attempting to practice my asanas, but instead resort to moments of still meditation. Breathing. One breath at a time.
I feel my body aching for the stretch, for the releases, but I have only been able to fit in 10 minutes on some mornings. The flurry of things that take priority and precedence. It takes 30 minutes just to make my son’s lunch first thing in the morning, then our mile walk that is our family time together before the day actually begins. For him school, for us, work.
So I cherish these few moments on a plane. A moment to watch a little film, colour Spiderman, sip a glass of port wine and Chill before landing on the island of FIRE.
Have you taken a moment for yourself lately?
