Flu

madoka kasahara

MK_flu_02.11.09.JPGA few weeks ago, I came down with a terrible cold. I hadn’t felt this bad since I was sick with the flu as a kid.

I wondered how I’d managed to catch this cold when I’ve always tried to take good care of my health by eating healthy food, including lots of fruits and vegetables, and doing regular exercise such as yoga.

Thinking back to the week before this happened, I realized that I’d been under huge pressure and stress in my personal life. In addition to that, for weeks the weather in Los Angeles had been dramatically shifting from hot to cold in a day. Because of the combination of those stresses, my body simply couldn’t resist the flu.

Now that I’m back at work after lying in bed for a few days, I realize that my body is still feeling so sore and hurt. It’s just uncomfortable. I desperately need my body to be aligned and centered again.

How can I do that? Of course – by getting back to my YOGA!

So, as soon as I’ve built up a little more stamina, I’m going to head back to my yoga class.

Well it’s sure going around, I too came down with this so called “Cold” but it was much worse than I remember any other cold to have affected me in previous years. This thing literally had me lying on the floor with a 101 fever for 4 days.

You should really check out the latest issue of this weeks YH Newsletter. Beverly gives some great insights into why “Cold Season” is so likely to take it’s grips on us as a society as well as how you can prevent it.

Keep you eye on your email, it’ll be coming out later today.

    Cheers.
