Why does it always seem so difficult to unwind? It must be from years of being on the go.
You would think that I could just flop down on the bed and sleep for days. Well that’s sometimes what I wish I could to do to recover from the flurry of my business and life. But no, it’s truly a very slow unwinding of the body, mind, and spirit.
My one-week vacation this month didn’t seem to put much of a dent into the R&R I felt I needed. Being on a cruise with 3,000 other people was very interesting. I loved the moments of being on the balcony in our cabin, enjoying the breeze. Laughing and sharing time together with my family. We had a good friend working on the ship as well and it was so wonderful to have the time to visit with him. Something I used to do years ago with many of my dear friends. These moments together are truly cherished these days in our busy lives.
Upon my return I realized that I would love another week someplace simple with no schedules, a nice pool and beach, possibly a grill outside, and lots of fresh fruit.
