Making Myself Laugh More!
I love it. . .Laughter Yoga. Who would have known?
Over the past few months, I was so busy rebalancing my life that I did not have much of a chance to listen to some of the wonderful workshops from our 1st Virtual World Yoga Conference or to actually do the exercises – until my teleseminar with Jill and Dan Johnson.
What a hoot!
What a workout!
I was actually sweating because of the laughter exercises. It was so much fun and such a great stress release, of course, that’s exactly what it would be because the workshop is called “Intentional Laughter: Stress Reduction Secrets”.
Since then, whenever I begin to feel stressed or irritable, I start with a conscious giggle and sometimes an intentional laugh – and I let it go on for a bit. It’s amazing how it helps me refocus my attention on the positive instead of the negative. It just happens naturally. It’s true that the body doesn’t know the difference between an intentional laugh that is being forced as opposed to a genuine laugh. And it’s amazing how the body and mind can be trained to respond in a specific pattern…even at my age! Wow!
I can’t wait to learn more about the joy of Laughter Yoga – and hopefully begin to create a moment of laughter with our community once a week. A free moment of laughter! What do you think about that?
