DC_Yoga-Journal.JPGDo you live in or near Florida? Well, whether you do or not, you’re still going to be interested in hearing about a yoga conference that will be held there in the near future.

For years, Yoga Journal, which is known for its commitment to the practice and understanding of yoga in all of its forms, has sponsored and designed conferences that bring together the nation’s leading yoga teachers, doctors, therapists and educators.

For the first time, Yoga Journal will be hosting a yoga conference in Florida from November 14 to 17 at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa.

Imagine yourself in a tranquil environment that offers deluxe accommodations, luxuriating spa services, and easy access to the beach. And, as icing on your already delicious cake, the Yoga Journal conference will provide a range of classes, lectures, and intensive programming – all highlighting the benefits of yoga.

Hold on – don’t get too immersed in that dream! You have to register for the conference first, so read on to find out more.

This year, Yoga Journal is offering a new and unique inclusion to the conference – the All-Day Intensives, which will be held on Friday, November 14, with classes ranging from Robert Svoboda’s “Cultivating Prana to Balance the Doshas” to Shiva Rea’s “Heart Fire: Tending the Sacred Flame.”

Kundalini Sadhana will start off the main conference from 4:30 to 6:30 in the morning on Saturday, November 15. This will be followed by a morning walking meditation with Loren Russo. Both Saturday and Sunday offer three separate sessions with a selection of interactive classes such as Power Vinyasa with Baron Baptiste, Power Yoga for Athletes with Beryl Bender Birch and Yoga to Sacred Music with Jimmy Barkan.

Noted yoga teacher Seane Corn will conduct a Detox Flow and Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa will teach Platinum Meditation, a practice that will “open you up cosmically and imprint a victory pattern on your energy system.” In addition, for teachers of yoga there will be numerous opportunities for continuing education with, among others, Gary Kraftsow and Julie Gudmestad.

So what are you waiting for? If this hasn’t whetted your appetite for all things yoga, nothing will!
