Neti Pot and Me
Ahhh…the ongoing saga of my adversarial relationship with the Neti Pot.
So there I was, thinking that my cracked rib was a perfect excuse ~ sorry, I mean reason for me to delay my Neti Pot adventure. After all, if I choked and started coughing during the procedure, the pain would be unbearable, right?
Ummm…apparently not. Can’t get off that easily – not with Christina on my case! During one of our phone conversations the other day, she inevitably brought up the Neti Pot. “Well, have you started using it yet?” she asked? (She’s pushy, that girl – just as well I understand the type, being one myself!) “No, of course not,” I said, confidently prepared to launch into my perfect excuse. “My cracked rib – remember?”
“What’s that got to do with it” Christina asked? Oh-oh. Here it comes.
“I might choke and cough and my rib will hurt and I might damage it more and…”
“Get a grip – you won’t choke and you won’t cough and this is just another excuse for you not to get started.”
Rats – she’s seen right through me again! How does she do that? It’s disconcerting, to say the least!
“Okay, okay, I’ll start using it next week. See? I’m writing it down in my calendar in big, bold letters.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Christina responded (I’m sure she was smirking).
But I figure that in a week’s time, my precious little rib should be fine, so I really am determined to start on my Neti Pot.
Just watch me, Christina – I’ll surprise you yet!

I love my neti pot. Used to have serious sinus problems that would start with a little irritation and then go into full-blown upper respiratory infections. The neti pot nips in the bud. It’s da bomb!
true! the neti is a very easy yet overlooked tool for sinus trouble. and no need for harmful antibiotics!
Thanks, Marcella and Bekki, for your support and encouragement. With positive reviews like that, I’m definitely going to try my Neti Pot soon!
