Gratitude to all Mothers
Last Sunday was Mother's Day and many of us probably spent the day celebrating with our mothers. But why should we honour them only once a year? Shouldn't we be celebrating them every single day of the year?
I've heard of some traditions where, when the child's birthday comes around, it is actually the day they celebrate the child's mother. I found that to be such a beautiful tradition.
Whether our mothers are gifted to us by blood, adoption, or friendship, isn't it truly beautiful to know that we are loved, most of the time unconditionally? Even in honouring a mother who has transitioned, her unconditional love will always remain a constant comfort in our hearts.
At this time, let's also not forget Mother Earth. She has given us billions of years of nurturing. She has truly shifted and adapted unconditionally to all the needs of the beings on this planet. Do you realize how these shifts can affect you as an individual?
When one practices yoga or meditation, we become connected to all the energies that surround us. As we flow through the motions of asana or breath, we continue to connect and ground into Mother Earth. She supports us daily in all we do.
So maybe it's time to not only be conscious about showing gratitude to our own mothers but also to think about what we can do to show gratitude to the eldest of them all, “Mother Earth”.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if each one of us would do just one thing this week to help the planet?

What's Happening at YogaHub
We have taken a little breather here at YogaHub. Even though we are re-setting some foundational pieces, we are still working on making your experiences smoother and more fluid with our community.
We've also been working behind the scenes to improve some of our affiliate program offerings, with a recent link redirect and shortening tool that makes it easier for affiliates to send referral traffic to any page across the YogaHub family of sites.
We had an interesting situation happen on our Facebook page recently. There was an issue on our “WALL” on the topic of the “Anti Christ”. We just want you, as our community, to be aware that this was SPAM. Yes, you read this right. Spam on Facebook. I couldn't believe it myself. Fortunately, we were able to figure out how to delete this from our “Wall”, but we want to assure you that this was in no way a posting from within our company.

Sun Protection: The Sun has returned here to Southern California with temperatures up into the high 80's. As my family goes for walks and my son plays in the park daily, it is a concern as the sun beats down upon us as early as 8:30 in the morning.
Why does a Latin phrase sound profound? What causes us to become attracted to certain things visually or aurally? What triggers us to spend money on items that may be harmful or, at least, not in our best interests? Even if you do not know, be assured that there are those who do know the answers to these and many more questions about why and how we can be enticed into procuring things. There are creative geniuses applying images and words in ways that manipulate our minds, enabling that “instant decision”. “I will buy this nutrition bar because it is fortified with natural products and the other bar doesn't even have any anti-anti ingredient”. 
This past month has been dedicated to not only sorting out my business but also the business of my uncle, who is still in my care.
