Look Who's Talking. . . . .
Our list of speakers continues to grow, with presentations, workshops, and sessions that are going to be informative, thought-provoking, creative, and fun! Click here for more information.
In our last newsletter, we highlighted some of our presenters, and here are a few more of our awesome "cast":

Are you thinking of signing up for the Conference but don't know how you're going to fit it into your already over-flowing schedule? Do you feel anxious and exhausted by the end of a day because you just haven't had any "me" time? Then Megan McDonough's "A Minute for Me: Learning to savor sixty seconds" is just what you need to find balance again. Megan, a yoga instructor and marketing consultant to wellness organizations, is also an award-winning author of "Infinity in a Box, Using Yoga to Live with Ease" and "A Minute for Me."
In this workshop, which is based on her book "A Minute for Me," Megan will guide you on a journey of self-discovery and help you understand that the greatest gift you can give yourself is the gift of your own attention. She will provide you with simple 60-second exercises to build your "self-awareness" muscle and give you ideas for generating new perspectives. And – before you think "oh no, another thing to add to my 'to do' list!" – Megan will demonstrate how these tools can easily fit into your day without changing your schedule.

Need a good laugh? Jill and Dan Johnson's session "Laughter Yoga: Laugh for the health of it" will have you laughing in no time. We've all heard the adage "laughter is the best medicine" – and it's been shown to be true. Jill and Dan are certified Laughter Yoga teachers who will introduce you to the concept of Laughter (Hasya) Yoga, which is based on the scientific fact that the body doesn't know the difference between a real laugh or a simulated laugh, so you get all the same physiological health benefits. They'll take you through laughter exercises – intermingled with gentle yogic breathing – to facilitate stress release and physical exercise. And they'll end with a laughter meditation and guided relaxation to leave you firmly grounded with your heart open and mind calm.

Perhaps you're interested in the business side of things? Then you might like to try Marketing U! presented by John Sovec, a psychotherapist and yoga teacher who specializes in focusing clients on uncovering their personal strengths and building upon those strengths.
John's workshop will teach you how to market your spiritual business. But wait a minute – aren't the words "spiritual" and "business" in conflict with each other? Many people have an innate distrust of the idea that marketing can be a healthy companion for building a spiritually based business. But the fact is that, if you want to share your system with others, you need to learn how to promote it. In his workshop, John will teach you how to develop a marketing system that is in alignment with your core business values. He will provide you with techniques on the best ways to promote your healing practice and share your special gifts with the population while maintaining your spiritual integrity.
And for those of you who have to live with chronic and debilitating pain. Vandita Kate Marchesiello's "Yoga as a Strategy for addressing symptoms of Fibromyalgia" is a perfect antidote. Vandita, a passionate yoga enthusiast and innovator in bringing the health and healing benefits of yoga to under-served populations, teaches regularly at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, where she guides people to experience health and vitality in practical everyday ways based on the science of yoga.
In her workshop, Vandita will take you through gentle yoga postures, breathing exercises, deep relaxation, and meditation work to help relieve pain and discomfort from joint and muscular pain, insomnia, stress, anxiety, depression, irritability, digestive disorders, and other symptoms related to Fibromyalgia. With Vandita's guidance, participants will experience the regulation of the functioning of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems related to our "flight or fight" response, as well as the regulation of blood pressure, heart and respiration rates.
The above workshops are just a selection of the diverse range of health and wellness sessions we'll be offering you from February 19th to 21st – we have many more presenters and sessions lined up for you over those three days.
