Give the Gift of Yoga
Swami Kripalu said, "The universe is exceedingly generous. When a farmer sows one seed, a plant comes forth that produces thousands of seeds." We are planting seeds of health and happiness by giving away the gift of yoga.

At the end of the senior yoga class, Betsy, who is 94 years young, gave me a discreet “come here” move with her index finger. Standing just outside the door, I bent down to hear what she was saying. She whispered, “I just wanted to tell you what yoga has done for me. I was homebound during the last snowstorm and started to have a panic attack when I realized my medication was gone. I remembered what we learned in yoga. I did the deep breathing we practiced in class and calmed down. Then I made some phone calls to get my medication delivered.”
Betsy might whisper about the benefits of yoga. I, on the other hand, like to shout it out for anybody who cares to listen.
The gift of yoga never stops giving. The practice is much more than a physical work-out. Yoga transforms lives.
As a yoga teacher, I'm blessed to experience these transformations in each class. Sometimes, the change is dramatic; other times, it is subtle. But yoga always has a positive impact. Yoga is like a little wave that builds momentum over time, giving us a lifetime of gifts.
Yoga's impact is like the small, gentle swish of a butterfly's wing that causes major winds halfway around the world.
That's why, when Christina of Yogahub suggested we do a huge yoga give-away, I agreed in a New York minute. Because when one person feels the big space and freedom from yoga, it ripples outward, making the world a little more kind and peaceful.
So Christina and I put our heads together and came up with a whole gift basket of yoga goodies to encourage, stimulate, and motivate your yoga practice.
After all, if the practice of yoga gives a lifetime of gifts, then doing the practice is the first step.
Wish you well always,
