		<description>I was hoping I would get advice from you on the neti-pot.

I admit, I don&#039;t have one.  In the shower I just let warm water pool in my palm.  Then I learned to softly snort water up and then come out of my nose.  

I am pretty comfortable in the water though - I did lots of swimming as a kid.

Hope to hear more on this to de-myst-ify it!  Thanks,

		<description>It is possible that the stinging occurs because either the water is not the right temperature, too cold will sting or the amount of salt used is inappropriate. The temperature should feel comfortable when the water is put on the inside of the wrist. The amount of salt used should make the solution taste like tears. I hope that this helps, use of the neti pot should feel very comfortable and one should feel no sensation at all when doing the irrigation. I have found this to be wonderful for me.
