As with any other exercise regime, it is important to take a moment to calm and relax the whole body. It also gives you the opportunity to listen to your body for any outstanding soreness.
I would liken this to driving in my car with no music on. After a hectic day, it can be very relaxing and peaceful. These days, it seems people constantly need some kind of external input, i.e. from tv, radio, movies, computers etc. When you take a break and slow down for a little while, you can really listen to your body.
